Miniclip.com is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to hire in our Lisbon (Portugal) Games Development Studio. This is a full-time, permanent position; please apply only if you have the right to work in Portugal.
DUTIES
As a Senior Software Developer you will translate requirements into robust implemented applications, and handle the entire software development life cycle, end to end. As an expert in your field you will be able to manage the development effort on projects, and work within a team to meet a high standard of requirement.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Working with Miniclip’s high-volume multiplayer games
Developing and maintaining backend applications
Documenting all work for both internal and external use
Helping other teams trouble-shoot (both software and infrastructure)

We’re looking for a dedicated, hard-working person who enjoys working in a team and is passionate and meticulous about his/her work. The ideal candidate will be strongly skilled in the following:
Functional programming languages: Erlang, Haskell
Performance optimization (both on algorithm and code levels)
Concurrency and race conditions
Cloud computing (across multiple data centres)
Client/Server paradigms
Collaborating with internal and external developers
Passion for gaming
Excellent analytical skills and ability to process large quantities of data
Unit and volume testing
Good architecture/infrastructure design skills (horizontal and vertical scaling)
Good communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
Working globally with people in different time-zones
Team Player

Commitment
The following skills are desirable but not essential:
Experience with multiple programming languages: C, C++, Java
